Following is the process for late starts in the Dubuque Community School District should it be necessary to delay on a Friday morning.
To remain consistent, the start time if there is a weather delay is the same every day of the week.
IF THERE IS A WEATHER-RELATED DELAY ON A FRIDAY, IT ADDS ONE HOUR TO THE NORMAL FRIDAY MORNING LATE ARRIVAL TIME FOR STUDENTS.
Here’s an EXAMPLE:
Monday through Thursday
Start time: 8:35 a.m.
Weather delay: 10:35 a.m.
Friday
Start time: 9:35 a.m.
Weather delay: 10:35 a.m.
Please remember that the delay time at your school is based on your school’s actual start time.
FOR STAFF: If there is a weather delay called on a Friday morning, professional development for that day is cancelled and you should report to work at the time you normally would on a two-hour delay day.
