Two-Hour Delay, Tuesday, Jan. 6
Due to the current winter storm, the Dubuque Community School District will operate on a two-hour delay on Tuesday, January 6. All district-run morning pre-school is canceled.
Athletic Events Moved Earlier or Postponed Today, Jan. 5
Due to the approaching winter storm, the following schedule changes are in effect of athletic events in the Dubuque Community School District today, Monday, Jan. 5:
- The boys sophomore basketball game between Hempstead and Senior high schools has been moved to 4:30 p.m. at Hempstead. The game was originally scheduled for 6 p.m. It will be held in the school’s new gymnasium. The girls sophomore game will be held as scheduled at 4:30 p.m. at Hempstead in Moody Gymnasium.
- All freshman athletic events in the district are postponed for today and will be rescheduled at a later date.
Career Exploration Fair for High School Students and Parents, January 6
A Career Exploration Fair for high school students and their parents throughout the Tri-State area will be held from on Tuesday, January 6, from 5-7:30 p.m. in the new gymnasium at Hempstead High School.
Booths will be set up throughout the gymnasium in conjunction with the Hempstead vs. Senior basketball games being held in the school’s Moody Gymnasium. Students and families can visit the fair before the games, between games or at halftime.
