About Kate Zanger
Kate Zanger is a proud first generation college student. She earned her BA from The College of New Rochelle and EdS, MS from the State University of New York at Albany.
Zanger serves as a member of the Clarke University Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee, Inclusive Dubuque Peer Learning Network, and Dubuque Branch of NAACP. She has completed Best Practices Series Training by Inclusive Dubuque, as well as Intercultural Competency Training by the City of Dubuque. She is a past board member of the Riverview Center and Dubuque American Red Cross.
In 2003, Zanger was the recipient of the Angela Merici Medal presented by the College of New Rochelle. The medal is awarded to alumnae who have demonstrated exceptional loyalty to Church and College as well as achievement in their careers. That same year, Zanger was the recipient of the Ruby Sutton Humanitarian Award in recognition of outstanding service in the continued fight for freedom and justice by the Dubuque Chapter of the NAACP.
Other honors include being named the 1999 recipient of the Board Member of the Year Award by the Riverview Center for outstanding service to the organization and the community, and the 1995 recipient of the Woman of the Year Award by The President’s Commission on Women for inspiring student leadership, promoting women’s issues and serving The Catholic University of America community with dedication.
