Review of Instructional and Library Materials
The school district has an official policy that governs review the review, reconsideration and selection of instructional materials:

NOTE: This policy is currently under review to ensure compliance with updated Iowa law and will move through the School Board’s official review and adoptions procedures.
Viewing Materials
Parents and other members of the school district community may view the instructional and library materials used by the students. All instructional materials, including teacher’s manuals, films, tapes or other supplementary material which will be used in connection with any survey, analysis, or evaluation as part of any federally funded programs must be available for review by parents.
Library Catalog
The Dubuque Community School District maintains a catalog of library materials in each school through the Destiny library management system.
