Fee Waiver Benefits

Families wishing to receive a FEE WAIVER must complete a fee waiver application.

  • Only ONE fee waiver application PER HOUSEHOLD is required.
  • A new fee waiver application must be completed EACH YEAR.

The fee waiver application is included in the district’s online ANNUAL REGISTRATION process and covers all school-aged children in the household.

How to apply for a fee waiver:

  1. Complete the district’s online ANNUAL REGISTRATION each school year.
  2. The fee waiver application is completed in the PRIMARY HOUSEHOLD section of ANNUAL REGISTRATION.
    • Select “Yes” to apply for a fee waiver.
    • Sign the acknowledgment to give permission to school officials to use household income eligibility status to determine eligibility for waivable fees.
  3. If not directly certified, submit paperwork based on your meal assistance category.

How do households qualify for fee waiver benefits?

Families must waive confidentiality of household income eligibility status received from one of the following sources based on the household meal assistance category:

  • Direct Certification
  • a completed Free and Reduced-Price Meals Application
  • a completed Income Verification Form

Eligibility to have district fees waived or reduced is determined by the federal income eligibility guidelines for that school year.

Waivable fees include: curriculum resource fees, cap and gown, instrument rental, CNA placement test and background check, and driver education (one time only).
