NOTE: Enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year will begin in January 2025. Check back for more details in December!
How to Enroll in Kindergarten for the 2024-2025 School Year
If your household does NOT have an existing student(s) currently enrolled, whether you are new to the district or had a student(s) previously enrolled, please complete these steps.

| Enrollment may be completed ONLINE for kindergarten students new to the district.

| 2 | SUBMIT REQUIRED DOCUMENTS |
The following documents are required for kindergarten enrollment:
If your student was NOT enrolled in a free four-year-old preschool program, please also submit:

| 3 | SUBMIT REQUIRED PAPERWORK |
The following required paperwork must be submitted before the first day of school:

Students will NOT be allowed to attend school without BOTH the Physical Examination Form and Immunization Certificate on file with the district. The Dental Screening Certificate must be on file within four months of the student starting school. To ensure your student’s enrollment application is complete and processed by the first day of the 2024-2025 school year, it is recommended that all required paperwork be submitted no later than Friday, August 9, 2024. |

Remember that by Iowa Law, all children to be enrolled in Kindergarten for the 2024-2025 school year must be age 5 by September 15, 2024.
Families wishing to have a student attend kindergarten at a school other than their home school may apply for in-district transfer between January 15 and March 1. For more information or to apply on or after January 15, visit www.dbqschools.org/in-district-transfer.
